It changed this year. They are taking more direct admit kids. Last year you could apply DUS and then transfer into Smeal. That door is closed apparently. Not sure how it will play out.
I think you are admitted into Smeal now but not guaranteed a major. I could be wrong. |

Has anyone asked specifically whether DUS are completely shut out now of Smeal?
The assume fewer open slots because of direct admit. But completely shut out? |

Not completely but it will be even more difficult to switch now that the Smeal direct has been implemented |
