Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque, not too cold.

I like a French 75 made with sparkling cider instead of champagne.

If the spirit of Thanksgiving is the mix of European influence with Native American influence, it seems like apple cider and tequila or mezcal might be the answer. I bet that would actually be good. You could do cinnamon sugar salt rims.

Apple cider mimosas. s simple as it sounds. But they are 100x better than the original!

+1. You first. Come back and tell us how it is if you haven't already tried it.

I love pomegranate margaritas for the holiday season. Or even just pomegranate juice with sparkling wine. You also can’t go wrong with a Negroni sbagliato!

Unfortunately no one I am hosting for Thanksgiving drinks alcohol except for me so I probably won’t be doing any cocktails at all.

I had a clear cocktail with a couple cranberries and a sprig of rosemary in it. It was beautiful. Unremarkable tasty vodka-based something. But very festive.

4-6 Sage Leaves
25oz - Maple Syrup

Muddle sage & maple in small tin. Add
.25oz - Apple Cider Vinegar
1oz - Apple cider
2oz - Bourbon

Shake with ice and double strain into DOF over large cube. Garnish with sage.

Some folks don't add the vinegar. It can be left out, but I think that the added acid balances the drink. Perfect Thanksgiving cocktail.

We do this with a little bit of lemon - you do need the acid. And no sage, just a little cinnamon or pumpkin spice mix.
2 oz Rye (better than bourbon IMO)
1 oz Apple cider
1/2 oz Maple Syrup
t tsp lemon juice
pinch of cinnamon or pumpkin spice
Shake in mixer with ice
Pour over large single ice cube (you want it cold not watered down)

Add a pear slice or candied ginger to the rim of the martini glass if you want to Zhuzh it up but it's so easy to pre-mix with booze (I use vodka) and put in a nice pitcher, shake with ice and pour. No need to make your own

This does sound good — and easier than the one I posted. And thank you for the spelling of zhuzh. I always wondered!

You're welcome! Also wanted to add that instead of vodka you can mix with Seltzer and make a mocktail for those who prefer!

Yes! I always try to have a drink that can also be served up as a mocktail.

Ina Garten’s cranberry martinis. Absolutely perfect. Make the cranberry infused vodka today (it needs to infuse for a day or so) and store in the fridge. They’re amazing.
