Do your husbands gamble on sports?

Anonymous
He plays in several fantasy sports leagues (usually NFL and college march madness) but those combined don't cost more than $200/year. He enjoys it and can easily afford it.

But no, he doesn't do other types of gambling. Very sports interested.

Yes, fantasy sports with his friends and horseracing. It's his one hobby and we can afford it.

Yes, he’s very good at it. He nets $3k - $5k each week.

Allow it? He’s a grown man. He’s won six-figures. After building a large balance across apps he now transfers weekly winnings into a joint account. He’s playing with their money now. I don’t understand gambling, but I understand that our account balance keeps growing. You do you.

No
But it is very popular with the MAGA crowd.

My BIL and his buddies and their 20 somethings in college. My sister is now in debt because of this shit. Their son and his BF need gambling anonymous and rehab.

Every second ad I see is for sports gambling. They must make a fortune!

This is not true. No one actually makes money from gambling in the long run. The margins taken are too high.

People make quite a bit from gambling. Didn’t Pritzker win $1.4M playing blackjack?

It's been really pushed and normalized with the sports betting apps and heavy advertising with celebs, etc. Really unfortunate.

My mother gambled a lot; slots at the casino. She could afford to sit there all night, but it was still very depressing. Gambling is bad, bad, bad.

+1 million and very addictive

I think a lot of people have draft kings accounts. I hear it talked about pretty openly and casually.

No, I really hate the ads they have on game nights! It is a disservice to our country, wish they would ban it already.
