It provides a great education at a reasonable price point. Graduates eligible for a two year work visa upon graduation.

Great value for golf as a student as well.

Have two kids who are graduates. One working in finance other in grad school in the UK.

Perfect size, on par w US t30 school, storybook campus, travel opportunities, full pay families get it all for half off what an American private school would cost. Pocketing 200k is no small thing. Pays for grad school.

Nope. Though your ignorant advertising of your MAGA views is quite sad. Why are you people so full of hate?

Most people I know going there are far from progressive. Not necessarily MAGA, but definitely not super liberal. More private school money types, who tend to be centrist or lean slightly right - probably a lot of Republicans without a home - used to be Republican in the old school sense but despise what Trump has done.

NP. Oh, the irony. Every time someone like you invokes "MAGA," it's to insult people. And those people are usually moderates. It's beyond old - maybe find a new shtick?

When you get kicked out of <Top Boarding School> and the reason for that causes your Ivy to rescind admission, then -- if it happens early enough in fall term -- you can apply and go to St A.

Although this was not a factor in our friend's daughter's selection, it was definitely a plus for her parents She's loving it.

It’s not half … it’s probably around $60-65k depending on exchange rate, accommodation + travel

For the 2025-2026 academic year, international undergraduate tuition at the University of St Andrews is £31,670 for Arts, Divinity, or Science, and £37,730 for Medicine. The total estimated cost of attendance for the 2024-2025 academic year was £45,678, which includes tuition, accommodation, travel, books, and living expenses.

that equals just under $61K per year (with potential 10% increases year on year) for 4 yrs.

W&M has a joint degree program with St Andrews so you can attend each for two years and get the benefits of graduating from both.

Stop with the St Andrew’s boosting. It’s a third rate school and its location makes access to US-based internships and jobs near impossible.

Yet for the past decade it has been ranked alongside Oxbridge is a variety of UK ranking schemes and a growing number of firms are hiring St Andrews grads.
