Seeking hair stylist for a dark brunette

Anonymous
Amazing how a normal, straightforward post and request brings out the worst of DCUM. The OP could not have been more clear about what she is seeking. Some of you have serious issues and should simply refrain from commenting.

OP - I love Vanessa at Maude in Herndon, but that might be too far for you.

Thank you, PP! I appreciate this suggestion and Herndon is perfect.

You're welcome, the ladies on here are insane!

I made myself crazy looking for a color as you could keep my hair, dark brown without pulling any red toes, and it turns out I need to stick to a Demi permanent color.

I need a color that is deposit only or else I will start to get red toe the second the sun touches my hair

Even Demi will pull red/brassy. This will happen no matter what. I didn’t think mine did either, until I say some photos of myself in bright sunlight. While it isn’t as noticeable as a permanent color, it is still more brassy than my natural brown

I'm sorry but OP said "cool brunette", that's not that specific. She didn't mention anything about red tones, brassiness, etc., where are you getting this from???

Not PP but every natural brunette knows when this question is asked in the context of “cool”, it’s usually due to bad experiences with it turning too warm / red toned when dyed in the past. You should be grateful you’ve never experienced this, it’s a bit*h to correct (and sometimes you can’t correct it). So yeah, “cool brunette” is actually VERY specific, you just didn’t understand that.

+1
You are so right. "Cool brunette" means NO RED. Ashy, cool tones only. What is with the responses on this thread?? The question could not have been more clear.
