No one who is "an obnoxious maga" will be given the time of day at haverford or bryn mawr, for that matter.

What is a Christian school? Is this still a thing? Trinity or Grace Church may be founded as Christian schools, but nowadays they are as secular as any high school. Haverford is a Quaker school, it has its Quaker root but doesn't mean it's still much Quaker. I don't see any issue with a kid from a Christian school fitting in Haverford. I suspect his Christian school students may be more liberal than Haverford's athletes.

OP here - what about Catholic? Also super woke?

Of these, only Davidson is an academic peer of Haverford.

W&L is superior; Hillsdale is a peer.

LOL Hillsdale is not a peer. Hillsdale is for whackos.

This is a much gentler version of what a typical Haverford College student would say about a Christian school like Hillsdale College.

Most Christians would view the Haverford College community as one of extreme leftist whackos who disrespect anybody who maintains other than super woke opinions and beliefs.

My only concern with Haveford for my son is the female/male split. Because students at Bryn Mawr and Haverford cross-register significantly (as the campuses are nearby each other), the gender split can feel more like 75/25 or 80/20 female in some departments.

You have zero first hand knowledge about Haverford. All you know is what you read in your right wing media.

Hillsdale? Right.

Google Haverford College. The first result is an AI Overview which states:

"Haverford College faces criticism for being overly "woke" and a potentially hostile environment for dissenting views.... A culture of self-censorship, intimidation, and a failure to address anti-Jewish harassment...."

Many students were verbally & physically prevented from attending classes a year ago due to a protest fueled by super-woke students. Check out other online sources for first hand accounts shared by disgruntled Haverford College students.

The environment at Haverford College may be more super-woke than that found at Macalester College (less intimidation at Macalester for those who hold differing opinions.)

+1

If you and your child haven’t visited any liberal arts colleges yet, go to a few and you will get the feel. Most definitely lean left. What is your child being recruited for, a sport?

Generally moderate to left-leaning Bryn Mawr graduate here. My son won’t be looking at Haverford. There is politically engaged, and then there is groupthink. Some schools cross the line, and Haverford is one of them.

Maybe in your algorithm that pops up, because it know what you want to hear. Mine says nothing of the sort. Weirdo.

You got older, made a little money, and now you're more rigid. Got it.

But AI said it on my computer, so it must be true!

You are worried that your son is surrounded by too many women?

Exactly the type of closed-minded, rude, insulting, intimidating comment that would be expected from a current Haverford College student.

OP: If your son who attends a Christian or Catholic school is a social justice warrior intolerant of dissenting viewpoints, then he will be comfortable at Haverford College.

For those who like the super-woke environment found at Haverford College, Occidental College in Los Angeles and Macalester College in St. Paul/Minneapolis area should be considered.
