You must not have heard the presser today.

WDYM? Did he say something about cancer research or did he just talk about Biden and enemies?

Who needs cancer research when you have the alien Med Beds that QAnon was talking about.

Sounds an awful lot like the unauthorized practice of law:

Write well-organized, logical, often complex legal decisions and opinions that are clear, consistent with adjudicative standards and legislation, and are applicable to the facts of the case or which communicate USCIS policies and procedures.

Research and interpret sources including immigration laws and regulations, operating instructions, legislative history, precedent decisions, state and local laws, and international treaties to determine adjudicative decision.

Stephen Miller announced today that the federal government is offering $50k signing bonuses for entry level "Homeland Defender" positions that require no education and no experience. The job announcement indicates that these positions are remote so apparently are given an exception to the RTO rules across the rest of the federal government. They are also using Direct Hire Authority in order to just hire anyone who applies that fits their definition of a "patriot."

Not telework.

It literally says it’s a remote position in the job announcement. That means full time work from home in government speak.

Yeah. They must give you files and you sit at home and go through them.

Go read the whole thing. Also, it says experience can be substituted for education. Does not say neither experience or education needed. OP's translation is lacking.

You clearly didn't read the job description and announcement that both put "no education required" in big bold letters. It's also an entry-level position that does not require experience. Sure, it has a bunch of federal HR blah blah blah all over it since it's on USAJOBs, but Miller's staff can just pick anyone's resume regardless of quality since it's a Direct Hire posting.

It says one of the duties is in-person interviews. Go read the job description--not just the front page.

Not sure it is work from home. Probably depends. I think "in-person" means not on zoom.

It literally says remote position. That means everytime you have to go somewhere in person the govt pays for your travel and per diem. But it for sure is a REMOTE position.

These MAGA couldn't help coming here to claim their comrade Stephen Miller would never create remote government jobs! It says REMOTE multiple times in the job postings, sometimes in bold letters. These people are going to get $50k bonuses to sit at home writing immigration memos (with zero knowledge of immigration) and possibly "conducting interviews" on Teams. In-person interview requirement for a remote job just means that in the 1 in a million chance DHS needs someone interviewed in a remote area, one of these clowns might be called upon, and reimbursed, to go interview that person.

That’s not that different from other USCIS adjudicative positions. But it’s hard enough hiring and retaining qualified people to do that at GS 9-12, so I can’t imagine many high quality hires at GS 5-7.

Also it doesn’t look like a WFH job, the description talks about in person interviews.

A lot of you are missing the MAGA jobs program aspect of this. These are absolutely 100% remote jobs as advertised in the job announcement. When they are assigned any in-person interviews, they receive mileage reimbursement and, depending on distance traveled, extra per diem rates. They also are allowed to clock their commute to the interview location as hours worked. These are not the government jobs that YOU would get hired into. These are special setups for patriots.

I live in Seattle and for the last two weeks there have been targeted ads on TV advertising for ICE with a up to $50k signing bonus.

The unauthorized practice of law is a crime in every state in the US. It isn’t merely some administrative bs. It is a crime.

The US government is offering to pay people to commit crimes. I guess Miller and everyone in that decision chain is hoping for a last day auto-pen pardon . . . Or they’re convinced there will be no last day.

Maybe I’m reading this wrong:
Telework eligible
Not applicable, this is a remote position.

Telework means you have to report to an office at least once every two weeks. Remote means you work at home full time.

I think progressives are making a huge mistake leaving all these law enforcement type jobs for the magas.
It might also be a nice test case to see if he’s screening out non white people.

It’s a little scary how pro-MAGA LEOs are in general. There are exceptions of course but that there was very little uproar over the Jan. 6 pardons was telling. If it weee to happen again today, would the officers just stand down?

The militia groups need work too. This whole administration is corrupt and unAmerican.
