Stephen Miller announced today that the federal government is offering $50k signing bonuses for entry level "Homeland Defender" positions that require no education and no experience. The job announcement indicates that these positions are remote so apparently are given an exception to the RTO rules across the rest of the federal government. They are also using Direct Hire Authority in order to just hire anyone who applies that fits their definition of a "patriot."

These MAGA couldn't help coming here to claim their comrade Stephen Miller would never create remote government jobs! It says REMOTE multiple times in the job postings, sometimes in bold letters. These people are going to get $50k bonuses to sit at home writing immigration memos (with zero knowledge of immigration) and possibly "conducting interviews" on Teams. In-person interview requirement for a remote job just means that in the 1 in a million chance DHS needs someone interviewed in a remote area, one of these clowns might be called upon, and reimbursed, to go interview that person.[/quote]
