You do realize that if a business fails to make money, it becomes unavailable to provide employment for workers, and it stops paying taxes.

Or maybe you think businesses are actually social services, with profitability being irrelevant.

Yes, I want to support businesses that support my political values.

Scratch that: I want to support businesses that support American values and the Constitution.

Sinclair hates the constitution and the 1st Amendment.

This issue has nothing to do with business and everything to do with freedom of speech.

Prefer other local channels where newscasters look and behave like actual real people.

So how has that worked out for you? Are they out of business yet?

Veronica -who does the weather--is great! And, she does not look anything like a Stepford wife.

The point of boycotting Sinclair stations and their sponsors and telling them why is to get the sponsors to stop buying ad time from Sinclair stations and spend their tv ad budget elsewhere. The way to hit Sinclair where it hurts is for their stations to losing ratings and ad revenue.

Alison Starling on News 7 left. Wife of Alexander on national NBC news.

This Week on Sundays
Sports
The View on weekdays

At least two of the above shows are "political"

Anyone have a list of advertisers? And how many here are boycotting Disney+?

One good thing about the Kimmel firing is that it has increased public awareness of Sinclair. They have been amassing power for years, unchecked.

The idea is that money talks, so if you tell advertisers that you will no longer support them over this issue, they may decide not to spend as much money, which could lead to change.

Odd. Trump is killing or threatening to kill hundreds of businesses because they don't show sufficient alignment with his politics. Look at every news organization other than Fox, OAN and Newsmax. He (his proxy) made a very mafioso threat to kill ABC if they didn't comply.

And for normies like us? Isn't that just the free market at work? If not, can we force you to watch MSNBC and CNN in "A Clockwork Orange" fashion?

Channel 9 is also NextStar, since their ownership group was recently acquired by NextStar.

That means 4 out of 5 of the major broadcast stations in DC are owned by either Sinclair, NextStar or Fox. Only channel 4 is owned by NBC

No, in addition to. Keep boycotting channel 5 too.

That’s only because so many teslas have been vandalized or set on fire
