This is very helpful! Thank you. |
OP this is not correct information. 09s at Union is basically NVA 09 team now, and 10s are 1/3 SYC, 1/3 Brave, and 1/3 other clubs none are from McLean. |
So it seems like VDA and Arlington for their coaching and track record? |
1/3 Brave= BRYC, VYS, McLean => mostly McLean 1/3 SYC = again mostly McLean, came over from Virginia Union(SYC and McLean) 09 = yes NVA came over but not mostly NVA. mix of NVA, McLean |
VDA coaching is the best in the area at 13/14. |
If your child has a teflon ego and can handled be belittled each session and game |
Lol |
Dont forget 15 |
it absolutely is. That team is the 2013 mclean girls which was the best in the area. And Right behind 2013 loudoun (NVA). Go look at the rankings |
Funny thing since this season started - Those top U11/U12 teams aren't looking so hot these days. I haven't seen the former McLean team play yet, but I would strongly caution against using early success as a predictor for 11 v 11 success. |
PP isn’t asking what the best u13 team is. They’re asking about the clubs in the area. The best u13 team doesn’t necessarily end up being the best u16 team in the area. |
based on what i have scene those two clubs will dominate area unless the girls leave. Which they wont. Big drop off in talent after those teams for U13 G |
You're correct. Question is not about current u13 teams. It's about selecting the best club for developing - eventually recruiting - when a kid hits the u13 age group. |
|
I'd also consider Alexandria Soccer. They just got GA and have been putting programs and events in place to help girls play in College.
SYC appears to be very strong at the younger ages, they have a college advisor, but it doesn't appear too many girls go off to play D1 at all so far. D1 focused girls have moved to McLean, Arlington and VDA. |
Oh you have so much to learn, Marv. |
