Does anyone else miss single use soaps in hotel rooms?

I miss lotion. I spent the week at an amusement park hotel and my feet were killing me. No lotion! Not in a dispenser in the wall, not in a container on the counter. Nothing. I should have asked at the front desk but bought some instead from a pharmacy vending machine inside of the park.

This just tells me you don’t travel for work and may just not have a job.

It's unfortunate that you're allergic to perfume, but wouldn't hotel lobbies, stores, being around other people and a host of other things be off your list due to your allergy? Unless you travel a ton, I think hotels would be the least of your problems.

If you order from Ulta online, they often will send sample packs with lotion, shampoo, conditioner, etc. That’s usually what I use both for the gym and hotels.

I miss bar soap too but I do find a lot of places still offer it.

Also any one can add ANYTHING to those dispensers. It's unclean.

The ones I have seen have a type of locked cage over them so they can't be opened or removed unless you have the opener

I miss those little bar soaps. I used to collect all those toiletries and donate them to a women’s shelter.
My huge bug a boo is when you get in the shower and those plastic bottles stuck to the wall is empty!! That’s really bad.

Gosh, no. I’m so glad we are going to less single use plastics.

If germs squick you out or you need to read ingredient lists for allergens, bring your own.

I miss actual locking bathroom doors in hotels.
No more of these dumb sliding barn doors.

Where are you staying?! I've never seen cages or locks on these ever.

I hated one tiny bar for sink and shower. I pack a full size bar for shower. Also bathtubs are disappearing in favor of showers. This is OK for me, but Iimagine not for all.

Yeah, I recently stayed in a Comfort Inn in a small town and they had the little ones. Ew. Next stay was at the Ritz in New Orleans and they had the big wall ones with high quality product. So much nicer!

I don’t miss the tiny bottles. I did always donate them to the homeless but I can still give the shelters money now which I am certain is more useful.

No because I like the consistency of liquid. Also the shampoos and conditioners have been upgraded
