I feel like every decade since the 80s, affluent women try to recreate this cult of domesticity that has never benefitted the majority of women who were SAHMs. When they get a taste of what it is really like, they are shocked. Why do you think so many Mormon moms are on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds? Why do you think there were Mother’s Little Helper drugs mid century? Or Victorian mothers had hysteria?

She has the worst combination:

A pretty exterior, which garnered her attention at a young age that she apparently did not realize was unhealthy, and a relatively low IQ and EQ, which explains the brainwashing she allowed herself to take in.

This includes not just misogyny, but also racism, xenophobia and a lack of compassion for others: I was shocked to read that she participated in blocking a boat of migrants off the coast. That's evil.
