Why do people use "triggered" as though it proves some kind of point: 'People are calling this article stupid. I guess its assertions must be accurate!' Sometimes people are "triggered" by things that are demonstrably false (an amazing concept these days). |

The writing is competent (high school paper level). It's the wild claims and generalizations from anecdotal evidence that are funny. There doesn't seem to be a lot of critical thinking right now at the New York Times. |
