Rollins College

Neither. Better than Roanoke (which sucks) but nowhere near W&L

I'm from Florida. Rollins is fine but not worth the tuition compared to the Florida state schools, especially not with Bright Futures. No one from my Orlando high school went there.

Rollins is ranked 2nd among regional universities in the Southeast (out of 135). Roanoke is ranked 122 among 211 national liberal arts colleges. Can’t compare these directly but seems to give the edge to Rollins.

Rollins’ admit rate is 41 percent. Roanoke’s is 80 percent. Rollins’ SAT range is 1185 to 1355 and Roanoke’s is
1090 to 1270.

Notice how everyone is talking about how wealthy and attractive the students are? Schools an absolute breeze.

Every college for wealthy and attractive students is a breeze?

When that’s all people talk about, yeah. Similar colleges are SMU and Belmont.

You really need to learn how to read. I said you can’t do a direct comparison. Having said that, it is the number two ranked university among 155 in its region. That’s pretty damn good. And Roanoke isn’t even average among national liberal arts colleges. And they take 80% of their applicants. Roanoke is a bullshit school.

I know a few Rollins alums. All played tennis. One friend sent his daughter there for lacrosse.

Looks like a great campus. For me the issue is the distance and cost. Need to fly there which makes it more expensive. My son would love it, probably get in but with little aid. So, no way we could swing it.

I am uninterested in High Point for reasons unrelated to whatever its academic strengths may be. I am uninterested in Rollins because of its location. None of that makes Roanoke the academic powerhouse you seem to think that it is.

Try to keep up, I never said Roanoke is an academic powerhouse. You haven’t proven Rollins is any better other than cherry picking when you do or don’t want to use an arbitrary ranking. Your test scores and acceptance rates also don’t mean much without some serious citations. What percent submits testing? How were those acceptance rates calculated?
