Unless your head is in the sand, people are vandalizing Tesla's due to perceived politics. The benefits of the tesla is that it has cameras that catch the vandals (regardless of motive).

I hate Elon and didn't buy a tesla when we were car shopping, and this was pre-his trump days. But who I also hate are nimrods who go around vandalizing people's private property. I don't care if it's a cybertruck or regular Tesla, which I should remind people was fully embraced by the 'left' because it was eco friendly. ALL of my friends own a Tesla and they are hard core democrats. This woman should be charged and should pay for the repairs on the car.

That said, while I would never damage someone’s property, I’ll reserve my sympathy until I know what year the car is. If you are STILL buying Tesla products, you had to know it was kind of a risk.

A lot of you are missing that this is the DC region, most people are Democrats, and most Tesla owners are therefore Democrats.

I would not assume that keying a Tesla in this area is political. It's probably for another reason.

This. I've heard of cars being keyed a few times in my life, and in every situation, it was a personal vendetta. I think people are slightly more likely to key a car if they know the owner really likes their car, too, because the goal is to hurt that person emotionally. So most likely this person made an enemy, that enemy knew what car they drove, and knew it would really piss them off if they keyed it. This is why it happens like 99.95 of the time.
