Doing this is never OK.
Maybe she just did it because the driver cut her off. But maybe it's political. Nobody loathes Elon Musk as much as I do. He made my husband needlessly lose his job. DOGE has ruined people's lives and possibly endangered a few who are being sent back to hostile countries of origin. But DO NOT take out your political rancor on innocent car owners! I mean, yes, keying a car is crap behavior.
But also... it happens? Why does it even matter that it's a Tesla? Could be kids being jerks, or maybe the owner of that car is a jerk and someone is big mad at her. Assuming it's political is a leap for me. Insurance will pay for some body work. |

Agreed, people are jerks. That said, while I would never damage someone’s property, I’ll reserve my sympathy until I know what year the car is. If you are STILL buying Tesla products, you had to know it was kind of a risk. |

Unless your head is in the sand, people are vandalizing Tesla's due to perceived politics. The benefits of the tesla is that it has cameras that catch the vandals (regardless of motive). I hate Elon and didn't buy a tesla when we were car shopping, and this was pre-his trump days. But who I also hate are nimrods who go around vandalizing people's private property. I don't care if it's a cybertruck or regular Tesla, which I should remind people was fully embraced by the 'left' because it was eco friendly. ALL of my friends own a Tesla and they are hard core democrats. This woman should be charged and should pay for the repairs on the car. |

+1 People have been keying cars since long before Elon DOGE'd up our country. Maybe this was political, maybe the driver cut this lady off for a parking spot and she's just easily set off. |
