DEI, anti-Semitism:
“These are all smokescreens. Trump views colleges as his political enemies, so he is doing everything he can to tear them down. That may be because college graduates overwhelmingly voted for his Democratic opponent, or because college professors produce the research that undermines his baseless claims about everything from climate change to tax cuts. Or he may be influenced by a branch of conservative evangelicals who believe that they need to take over education and other realms.
With Trump, the simplest answer is often the most likely. After winning the Nevada Republican caucuses in 2016 due to support from people who never went to college, he infamously proclaimed, "I love the poorly educated." He's now doing his best to ensure more Americans fit that description.”
I wish we could agree that schools shouldn’t be ANYONE’s political enemy and vice versa, but that’s not the case anymore in today’s climate, is it???
Higher education repeatedly declares its collective political affiliation by establishing frameworks that align with and act as an extension of ONLY one party. And then they encourage students to shut down any dissenting viewpoint by introducing censorship disguised in Orwellian buzzwords. We can’t even have ideological debates on college campuses without colleges being accused of the sin of “platforming” unapproved ideas that go against the far left. They’ve created a a new leftist religion that we must all worship, and they call for inclusion even though they don’t mean that at all. “Silly conservatives—Inclusion is for people who think like we do—and we don’t actual value diversity unless you share our exact opinions and worldview. If you don’t then it’s fine for me to hurl insulting epithets at you and call you an Uncle Tom.”
It’s exhausting.
