I'd have asked to move to another table. I can't stand the smell even when its on peoples clothing.

What’s gross about Flemings?

What is DCUM's obsession with pot smell?

People act like not smelling something they don't like is some god given right and being forced to momentarily smell something mildly unpleasant is a transgression par with being slapped in the face.

My god, I've never seen anything so soft and pathetic. I'd be utterly humiliated if anyone found out I got so bent out of shape by something so insignificant and you all are just putting it out there for anyone to see like.

Person probably came in smelling like that. Nobody smoked in the restaurant.

Completely disagree. Weed stench can be completely overwhelming, and it would definitely make it hard to enjoy an expensive meal. A lot of how we perceive the taste of a food is tied up in the scent of it. I would have let the water know of the issue and asked to move tables.

About halfway through our meal, we noticed the unmistakable smell of marijuana. I think it was coming from the booth behind us, but we weren’t sure and didn’t want to cause a scene. There is no way the staff could have missed this smell, and we were hoping they would do something about it, but they didn’t. I mentioned the smell on our way out of the restaurant, but I don’t know if they did anything about it.

Obviously smoking in a restaurant isn’t legal in VA, but has anyone experienced this recently, and what did you do?

Staff blazing up in the alley?
Or a customer spreading the skunk smell via their clothes.
More common that ever.
Don't get the fascination with the stuff. It just dumbs a person down even more than alcohol or SSRI abuse.

Service industry are puffing the odorless weed pens all day. And pills.

The "stench" was probably gone in 30 seconds.

Pray tell, what is SSRI abuse? You sound extremely dumb.

You are obviously uninformed or a Pharma sales/rep?

Probably because chemically speaking, it's the same substance/odor as skunk spray. Many people find that smell offensive. It's evolutionary.

They have to. Customers get disagreeable when you forget half their order.

You don’t look more sophisicated by shitting on expensive restaurants. (I’ve never been there but I’m sure it’s not *gross*)

People not smelling strongly in public is a pretty standard expectation. It’s the pot community who thinks it’s their right to subject the rest of the world to their disgusting habit.

So you can’t articulate it. Got it!
