Al Jazeera as a reputable source?? Seriously?

Yes, they are reputable. They don't have an Israel bias but they are responsible, reputable journalists.

The Zionists beg to differ

Israel has accepted the US plans, terrorist Hamas has rejected.

Netanyahu is insisting that Hamas stay in power, and Hamas says no?

That's not very believable. If this were the case, Hamas could just agree to Bibi's terms, and then relinquish power later.

They rejected the initial ceasefire because it prevented them from continuing the genocide long term and wiping Gaza clean.

If you read the Israeli modified ceasefire agreement it removes the provision of having a coalition of Palestinians govern Gaza instead of Hamas. Very convenient of course for Israelis to keep Hamas present.

So why the lies? Just state the reasons the terrorist Hamas group declined the ceasefire agreement instead of lying in the OP.

The most interesting thing about all of this is that Netanyahu’s Witkoff initially proposed nearly this exact agreement but once the Israelis got involved they changed it dramatically. Hamas is now bringing it back to how Witkoff originally framed it but he’s feigning outrage anyways.

Funnily enough Hamas is now adding back in wording describing how a new government will form and Hamas will step down.

I repeat, Israel removed wording about Hamas stepping down and Hamas is putting it back in, you can’t make this shit up. I look forward to how Hasbara spins this.

An independent technocratic committee will immediately assume management of all affairs of the Gaza Strip upon the start of the agreement’s implementation, with full authority and responsibilities

And as the US mourns the attack in Boulder, the Zionists are busy planning the next missile attack on innocent children. Really, why should any Zionist feel safe with what they are doing and have been doing since 1948.

Along a corridor in the same hospital where Adam is being treated lies Eyad. His father – and Yaqeen’s uncle – is Hussein Hassan, a 46-year-old Red Crescent paramedic. Hassan said he was working in the hospital’s emergency department when he received a call saying his son had been injured and his niece killed by a missile.

Hassan said the family had received no warning that a strike was imminent and that he was haunted by the question of why a missile would be fired that hit children watering and planting flowers. “How could this be? The children are still so young to be considered targets,” he said. “Was there a targeted vehicle nearby? Or someone being pursued who passed by the street? I don’t know.”

When news of Yaqeen’s death spread online on Monday, there was an outpouring of grief and tributes from activists, followers and journalists. “Yaqeen was cheerful, full of energy,” Hassan said. “Due to my workload I hadn’t seen her in a month before she died – and that’s what hurt the most, that my last sight of her was when she was wrapped in a white shroud.

“I said my goodbye to her in the morgue at al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir-al Balah, and then carried her cold body into the ambulance to be transported for burial. Her family is devastated – she was their pampered youngest, the baby of the family.”

This is the portion from the original ceasefire that Israel removed:

"c. Next-day arrangements in the Gaza Strip, including:
An independent technocratic committee will immediately assume management of all affairs of the Gaza Strip upon the start of the agreement’s implementation, with full authority and responsibilities"

You can see the modified version by Israel on dropsite.

Hamas then tried reinserting the provision that Israel removed from the May 25 agreement.

The strategy has long been reported: Netanyahu is on record as arguing that Hamas staying in power helps block the creation of a Palestinian state. With a “terrorist organization” in control of Gaza, Israel can argue there’s no legitimate Palestinian partner for peace talks. Israel also facilitated Qatari funding to Hamas-run Gaza for years, partly to prevent the Palestinian Authority (PA) from regaining control. A unified Palestinian leadership across the West Bank and Gaza could have strengthened the push for a two-state solution — something Netanyahu has worked to obstruct.

A now-infamous 2019 quote from Netanyahu said (published in Haaretz): “Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state must support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas. This is part of our strategy.

I don’t know what the answer is to get terrorists out of power, but this hardline approach, of not guaranteeing a permanent ceasefire seems problematic at best (which doesn’t mean they’re agreeing not to kill leaders in highly targeted, strategic attacks), and justification to kill all Palestinians (and living hostages) at worst:

“But the Israeli government has always insisted on the right to return to hostilities, despite Hamas's core demand for guarantees that the temporary truce be a path to ending the war.
Netanyahu has said the war will end when Hamas "lays down its arms, is no longer in government [and] its leaders are exiled from the Gaza Strip".
Defence Minister Israel Katz was more blunt this week. "The Hamas murderers will now be forced to choose: accept the terms of the 'Witkoff Deal' for the release of the hostages - or be annihilated," he said.”
