Hamas and the US had agreed to a ceasefire; Most of these terms had already been agreed with Witkoff

Netanyahu intervened, forcing key commitments — including the removal of Hamas and Gaza governance handover — to be stripped from the deal and demanding that Hamas remain in power.

Hamas states that provisions in the original ceasefire deal appear to be modified in order to prevent any long term peace solution.

It seems more and more that Israel and Netanyahu need an excuse to continue the genocide and ultimately Israel doesn't want any agreement in which Palestinians stay in Gaza. And obviously, it was never about the hostages either.

When it comes to supporting Hamas, these college campus protestors don’t hold a candle to Israel and Netanyahu.

No surprise given that Netanyahu has funded Hamas hundreds of millions of dollars and is on record saying that it is very important in Israel's interest for Hamas to be strong in 2012.

Well, yeah. Duh. Bibi wants to ethnically cleanse the Gaza Strip and take it over as Israeli land for Jewish residents. He needs Hamas to still be in power in order to have the political cover to go ahead with killing a few hundred thousand people & forced migration of the rest.

Al Jazeera is banned not only in Israel but also Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and at times by the Palestinian Authority, bc they have a history of inciting violence and a bias in favor of various Islamic terrorist groups, including Hamas.

Dropsite news is great. Founded and run by Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Grim, who were at the Intercept for a long time.

They’ve broken a lot of important news from Gaza. Their reporting has been influential in getting the truce with the Houthis and even some domestic stories. They reported on a multi million dollar contract the state department had made with Tesla that was cancelled, partly because of their reporting on it.

In a nutshell , they are very reliable and have done some real stellar work since starting up last year.
