PSA: Contracts are still being DOGEd

The research on my kids medical condition is stopping.

Waiting over six months for someone to fix a problem with our health insurance (retired military) and i guess everyone doged there too so no one to help us.

Can't wait to see where we are in year.

And now the side of "less government" is selling all our personal data to Palantir.

Where are the real republicans. Just a bunch of MAGA fools now

We called Tricare the other day and the recording said that the wait for an agent was over an hour and a half and "you might want to call back on another day." Yes, I have a medical condition and just moved and am calling about a referral but sure, I'll just "call back another day." I couldn't believe it!

I am personally hoping that once the political get in more fully — the ADSes and the like — they’ll want to actually do something other than slash and burn. Guess what? That takes people and contracts to do.

Those who don’t understand have been misled and fed lies. They were gullible. However, they will pay the price.

Come back next year and tell us how you are doing.

The fighting isn’t going to help, but it does show something - these are real people whose lives have been upended because of unfortunate rumors that were not fact checked. It is a big deal. The losses will be felt by everyone, sooner or later.

This is pretty typical and often you get disconnected. And, plan to wait 3-9 months to get into a speciality clinic assuming they actually have appointments and your referral is approved. Not to mention waiting 3-4 months when you can get an appointment for a CT, MRI or ultrasound even in an emergency.

That's always been an issue with retirees. We had non-stop problems years ago. They put my teens name wrong in the system when he was born and no one still can fix it. You have to go in the office, not call. The military facilities are ghost towns.

And, they have so few specialists now and you often see residents who know nothing. I had a resident tell me just give up and stop looking for anwsers.

In my department, the government staff are cutting individual contractors, usually by the last-in-first-out process, but my tyrannical government boss is instead assigning ill-defined tasks with ever-changing requirements to contractors and then firing them a few weeks after they don’t deliver what she wants or expects.

I think it’s my turn now. I just inherited the hot potato task now that my 2 former contractor colleagues were fired.

We were able to get through in around 5 minutes last week.

Tricare is funny in that way and has been for many years. You call at one time and wait an hour plus like I had to last October. You call an hour later and get through in five minutes.

This tricare issue predates trump. It has been like this since at least obama, through multiple presidents.

Blaming trump for tricare phone delays is blatantly dishonest.

Tricare has always been an inconsistent mess. It has nothing to do with trump or doge

Yep. Fairly normal for tricare.

Ha! That happened to one of ours too.

They were just assigned a random name plus number by tricare, like kid #2, and we could not get it fixed. They were almost an adult and off tricare by the time we were able to get someone to correct the mistake.

Its at its all time worst right now. They lost a lot of staff due to the cuts and cannot replace them due to hiring freezes.

Ironically I worked for a contractor that was meant to help with tricare issues and it got DOGEd. Good luck y’all!
