Your racism is showing.

Meanwhile Hesgeth? Really?

No, the truth is showing.

Your evidence is your unfounded beliefs? That is it?

Meanwhile, have you seen the current administration? If you want to discuss unqualified, hired based on factors other than merit, start there.

They are top performers. You know why?

They're angering you, daily. Have a nice day!

it's a shame that the good DEI has been swept away along with all the shady stuff like BLM, etc.

Never fails. White folks cannot keep Black people off their lips to save their lives. There was absolutely no reason to equate a story involving people with disabilities with Black people. Disgusting PP

What is the difference between disabilities and people of color in terms of what’s acceptable assistance? Neither group can control their disability/color. Both groups are traditionally discriminated against.

For real! White people literally are obsessed with Black people.

This has nothing to do with DEI. This was a idea by these folks.

Wow, this is probably the most ignorant thing I have read on this forum in sometime!!

Black women have definitely triggered this person. As a highly educated black woman in a very senior position, I would be happy to go toe to toe with this person any day! They wouldn't make it past the first 2 minutes of the debate.

Tracking has been a discussion in education for DECADES! It has nothing to do with the current DEI discussion. My mom was a teacher for 38 years and it was a topic 38 years ago.

I think you meant "historically" - there's no "tradition" of discriminating based on disability or skin color. Regardless, focusing on merit alone (rather than discriminating to fix historical injustices) should solve for any discrimination going forward.

Dude, if we focused on merit alone, president, VP and the entire cabinet would not be where they are now. We should fight the real DEI, under which undeserving white people (mostly white men actually) manage to get in front of the line.

This is a silly, and racist, conclusion. Just as racist as saying DEI puts undeserving African, Latin, Asian, and Middle Eastern men and women in the front of the line.

What was wrong with what they said. No one in the cabinet is qualified. Hegseth? Kristy? Linda McMahon with didn't know the different between AI and A1 steak sauce?

Nearly the entire cabinet/admin is fox news/reality show/online personalities: Hegseth, Duffy, Judge Box O Wine, Bongino, Linda McMahon. These people are not qualified in any way shape or form for their positions. They just happen to know Trump and align with his vision of the White House as a Reality Show.

Dumbing down the curriculum because "diverse" students can't handle the subject matter has been around a long time

Jeannie Oakes asked for it to to be formalized across the country and it was under the umbrella of DEI. Randi Weingarten had more power than Miguel Cardona ever did.

The progressives have completed their rot.

You think you can just run away from progressive ideas now?? This is gonna be uber inconvenient for you: you can't.

Because when you have a reckoning that paints all white people as oppressors and white supremacists, people push back.

We can't control our skin color, but we can vote for the backlash that is happening.

Only in 9th grade, in an attempt to encourage all students to continue with science. Education has debated this concept for ages — do we differentiate or not? It just so happens that the students in the article are predominately poor or minority and for a variety of reasons are not as prepared as their academically-advanced peers. So check your DEI assumptions. I’m sure there are a few white people in the mix.
