| Why not just make those two items at home? A Zohirushi bread machine even comes with a recipe for cinnamon raisin bread. And tomato-pesto sauce is incredibly easy to make. You children probably liked the store bought one because it had tonnes of added sugar. |
|
Lidl has the tomato pesto, and so does Whole Foods. It’s also easy to make with cherry tomatoes, pepperoncini, parm.
I personally miss the falafel mix, quick and easy basis for a meal that my kids loved. And the dried hibiscus flowers. It is extremely annoying. |
| We miss the old toothpaste. They changed the formula and it’s not the same. Does anyone know of a dupe? |
| I feel your pain. I miss the jalapeño lime and onion chili crunch...SO good on taco bowl night. Thank god they still sell regular chili crunch, I put that in everything. This thread is a good reminder to stock up! |
This is fascinating to me. Can you share how it’s used every day? Are you making salads and it’s in some sort of dressing you eat every day? My mother never cooked for us growing up so sometimes when I find out things like this, I’m like does everyone know this but me? Lol. Thank you for indulging me. |
Dried hibiscus flowers at least are very easy to get elsewhere. |
They are not the same. TJ’s was made with cashews and tomatoes, so good. |
| This is the risk of TJs. They stop selling things that aren't super popular to try products. There is only so much shelf space. Try something new (not related to your favorites) and you might find something else you enjoy. Which is the fun side of TJs. |
+1 But we liked the euro style chocolate yogurt! We make do with euro style plain yogurt with a little chocolate sauce. |
| Years ago they sold dark chocolate-covered edamame beans. They were delicious! The chocolate pistachios are similar, but just not as good. |
This mint chocolate Yerba Mate is great: https://mountainroseherbs.com/mint-chocolate-mate |
+1 I love the threads on here (that someone always comes in to crap on but whatever) with all of the new TJ favorites. I stack them on my shopping list and find my own new favorites. Zhoug sauce is a permanent now. |
| I still mourn the frozen turkey bolognese sauce. So good. I tracked down a picture online of the ingredients on the box and recreated it. It wasn't the same but it was pretty good. |
I am one of the posters that used White Balsamic vinegar every day. I primarily used it as the vinegar in my homemade oil and vinegar salad dressing. It just tasted great! I use regular balsamic now but it just seems heavier and sweeter. Plus, you splash it on you and it stains. I never use bottled salad dressings - just oil and vinegar for me! |
