It's actually in Falls Church, not Arlington. But I agree! |
This is very accurate from our experience. If False 8 was easier to get into and not always when practice was happening I would invest in False 8. Pushed DD out of her comfort zone and the small kids in this group are intimidating Capstone is great too but much pricier. Excellent for winter training too with it's facility.

I disagree with this one. Think they have a specific goal of creating players who are intimidating and the training environment pushes toward that goal. For sure, new kids get lost in the shuffle with such a large class but for under $50 it's a pretty good deal. Think it's worth it to note that the sessions are intense which isn't something you see at most training facilities. It's kind of refreshing. My strong and fast kid was intimidated by some of the younger kids in the highlight reels. She said one young lady passed with the strength of a grown man :p |
| I'm a huge fan of Capstone for both group and private training. My DD has been training with them for about two years (group in the winter and private other times) and she has seen HUGE improvement. Has moved up teams both tryout years and I think Capstone has played a role. |

There is so much information available to us that I can't even empathize anymore. You have to do your homework and understand what exactly your kid needs and what each trainer is likely providing. False 8 is high intensity individual training within a group setting (which provides that intensity) for the drop in sessions that you're talking about. Probably the most efficient use of time from a touch count perspective. Perfect for a change of pace from the standing done in a team practice setting. Understand that it is also not necessarily for beginners, but can be if you discard the idea that you're trying to keep up with the rest of the players because this is you vs you... Their futsal program and a few other select sessions focus on more tactical elements. First Touch Aid provides a more attentive session from a teaching standpoint and has sessions that cater to different levels and age groups. Capstone is going to have a more physical/fitness element which also serves a very important purpose. You get a similar experience at FC training. There is no one size fits all solution, so don't go looking for one as each have their strengths and weaknesses. |
| Man I appreciate this rationale message. It will get blown over so has to highlight it. |
| We are also huge fans of Capstone. A huge part of our son’s success in soccer so far is the work at Capstone. They take an active interest in the kids and help them work towards their goals. We also did Futstars and HP Elite but Capstone is by far the best. |
| How does anyone get in touch with False8? Nobody ever answers my emails |
They’ve gotten back to me on insta. |
It’s an intense environment and actually a great training if your child wants something challenging but this is also pretty spot on |
| Capstone is helpful for our DC. |
| We've had good experiences with both Capstone and False 8, but I do agree that False 8 is not the easiest to get into. That said, I do like False 8's efforts to motivate its players in a positive manner, rather than places like FC Training that can at times provide very derogatory and destructive feedback. |
You drove up onto the sidewalk to throw FC Training under the bus on this one. But I think you’re in the ballpark. FC Training wasn’t trying to motivate young players as much as they were harping on them to try harder. These businesses need to understand that they need to get the young kids to buy into the program in order to motivate them to want to comeback over and over again. False8 does this the best in our experience. My kid feels good going back to False8 over FC. At FC, they were trying to convince me, as a parent, to come to training. At False8, they convinced my 10 year old directly. |

F8; no issues with Christian and what he’s doing. He is absolutely great with positive energy and that is something that is for sure needed for younger kids. However, it’s a highlight reel factory showcasing the same kids IG. I wish the reels for his program would showcase his loyal bottom 1st team/second teamers coming out and they’re progress. My kid can show up not coming in months and make the reel. Read that how you wish on how it looks.
FC; with Kevin and Cris you are not going to get the participation ribbon. It’s straight business to make the kids better, and my kid has no issues being called out on things to make them better. They also pair with Elmer and FTA which is highly underrated in this area as a training enhancer. All of these are businesses in the end, and different models. I don’t do any of these consistently as things are pricey, and you can do a lot on your own with YouTube, cones and a soccer field. However, if i were to choose it would be FC/FTA. |
