Do people still give thier kids vitamins?

Trader Joe’s has chewable multivitamins.
I make my college kids take vitamins when they are home.

I give my kids the Costco gummy vitamins. But if they were to start selling the Flintstone vitamins, I’d be right on those for me!

They still make Flintsones vitamins...

NP. Which ones do you give and how old are your kids?

Megafood kids vitamins and iron-free adult for my 12 and 14 year old. Nordic Naturals mini x2 fish oil, when they were younger we did Barleans.

Yes, gummy vitamins. Very good compliance

Per our pediatrician, we just give vitamin D. Kids are 5, 3.5 and a baby and all getting vitamin D. Baby gets a drop in a bottle, big kids get gummies.

My entire family takes a multivitamin plus calcium. Husband is ortho and most teenage girls don't get enough calcium and we've had some stress fractures. That said, I don't think they're all that compliant at college.

Just vitamin D and K2 because nearly everyone is deficient

Most "children's" vitamins are just gimmicks. 3-5 vitamins/minerals and nothing else. Get a good one that contains all the vital ones, if using one.

Yes, doctor recommended Flintstone with iron

Yes because DC is a picky eater who pushes meat and veggies around on her plate or nibbles at them. We make sure she gets protein and most nutrients other ways (plenty of fruit, beans, yogurt, and nuts) but we do a vitamin to help with iron and vitamin intake since we can't force her to eat spinach or beef.

We also don't do cereal for breakfast. A lot of breakfast cereals are fortified with nutrients to address this issue but we like to make breakfast ourselves. So I vitamin it is.

Flintstones *is* a good one. Ask most pediatricians. A lot of the more expensive "natural" vitamins don't provide much and almost none of them have iron, which is the nutrient your kid is most likely to deficient in. Also gummy vitamins are terrible for teeth. Flintstones chewables with iron is the one doctors are most likely to recommend. And it's cheap.

Yes. Not Flinstones, but yes.

Yep-my DD has always been picky and has been slightly anemic so we also do Flintstones since it has iron. She also takes B2 gummies as it theoretically helps with migraines.

Can you please recommend the specific brands your kids like? I keep buying them, and the kids hate the taste! Or good pill ones for teen girls?
