When I was growing up my parents gave me I think Flintstones vitamins . Do parents still do that ? Was just wondering if I should be doing that for my 5 year old.
Most "children's" vitamins are just gimmicks. 3-5 vitamins/minerals and nothing else. Get a good one that contains all the vital ones, if using one.
Flintstones *is* a good one. Ask most pediatricians. A lot of the more expensive "natural" vitamins don't provide much and almost none of them have iron, which is the nutrient your kid is most likely to deficient in. Also gummy vitamins are terrible for teeth. Flintstones chewables with iron is the one doctors are most likely to recommend. And it's cheap.
