Agreed. And Dems won’t win again until they publicly acknowledge their mistake in going way too far left. Trying to just sweep it under the rug is not going to work. We need to know that Dems have changed.

It is about the economy and it is about our world standing. That's it, now. So for Dems to succeed, they need to give up focusing on things that are considered to be fringe. Focus on the damage Trump has done to those two things.

How old is Jeffries?

You can Google that if you want but Jeffries is obviously not that old, however, he is also not particularly inspiring. Schumer and Jeffries did not coordinate on the shut down and that made both of them look terrible. They must know they are not suited to this moment.

+1 Schumer is past his prime and focused on promoting his latest book. He also could have played hardball on the continuing resolution-I don't buy his justification.

Even if Schumer were replaced by Jon Ossoff (who is up reelection this year and his opponent is likely to be Marjorie Taylor Greene!) they have no power. Trump and Muck would have shut everything down and done even more damage.

No. Their mistake was in not going left enough. What you “centrists” fail to understand is that transgender people and immigrants are just convenient scapegoats. If we abandon common sense rights for everyone just to try to get votes, the right will just demonize other groups to scapegoat.
