Blue Origin Space Flight - All Female Crew

It's embarrassing. Have fun in space or whatever, but the only thing special about it is that 99.999% of the world can't afford to duplicate your SM photo op flex.

It was a joyride for bored rich women. That it is. It was a joke.

I got the whole impression the women were brought in as playmates for Lauren. She even designed the costumes for the playdate.

This is terrible for the environment. So much rocket fuel used— a finite resource. More carbon in the atmosphere. This isn’t something to be proud of. I’m embarrassed for these women. Plus, the stupid risk of riding on a three minute rocket with the added risk of a plummeting balloon ride. Shameful. Nothing that women want. How about equal pay? Terrible role models that they think this is a worthwhile goal for women. Stupid.

The issue for me is all of the propaganda around this joyride like it is some amazing accomplishment.

This. They are no different than those folks that got squished in the mini sub (minus surviving).

So wasteful and completely unnecessary. They really thought they did something there.

I think this is where I fall down. They sounded ridiculous in the Elle article. Maybe the magazine knew it was unflattering and put it out so the public can draw that conclusion. I can't imagine anyone at the magazine thought it would make those women look good...I have to believe that to have faith in humanity.

I read somewhere they are trying to hype this up (private space travel) and then defund NASA.

I wondered about that myself.

Gayle is the luckiest trophy wife alive. Oprah on the sidelines clapping. Yeesh.

This is how you know these people are so damn empty inside. They can’t just do something cool. They need to be worshipped for it as if they did something godly.

It was probably little the author/elle could do imo. The more they talk the worst they sound. There is no sugar coating the situation and that thus was nothing but an advertisement for space tourism

Lost a lot of respect for Gayle.

Didn’t I recently see this same scenario on The Morning Show?

Doubling down on the importance of the flight and clapping back at critics is just bringing more negative attention.
