Turn off phone facial recognition?

Nope. There's nothing incriminating or political on my phone.

Because when they took your phone and you have facial recognition installed. They hold it up to your face and the phone unlocks.

Sure but then they can direct you to unlock your phone with your passcode. If you refuse, they could seize your phone.

Right, they seize your phone. But it’s locked. So it’s an inconvenience when you have to replace it. But you’re not being arrested for your social media posts or texts. When the phone unlocks with facial recognition, they don’t hand it back to you. They go through all your personal information. I’d rather have my phone seized. Enjoy that expensive brick.

Until they put something on it while it's unlocked.

I have absolutely nothing to hide. Zero. Zilch. However, I have never, ever posted my political views online nor do I post anything incriminating on social media. Maybe you should have thought twice before posting your online rant. They can look through my phone all they want.

White straight people have nothing to worry about.

Wrong my niece was stopped on her way back to DC.

Blond blue eyed. All American look. Luckily her father is a lawyer and was with her.

We are way past it's just them...

Due process ie civil rights are gone. 1st Amendment gone.

Imagine thinking that the only thing that could get you in trouble with this administration would be a :checks notes: “online rant” about “political views”.

Hope you’ve never tried to help your elderly parents get a vaccine or medical treatment. Or maybe had a discussion about hiring a qualified woman or a person of color for an open role. I really hope you don’t have a trans child. Those families are actively fleeing the US.

Yeah that all felt nothing. Zip. Zilch 90 days to me too.

Stopped for what?
What happened?

Backup your entire phone - everything - to a computer you leave at home (not to a cloud). Disable facial recognition. Set the phone to wipe itself after 10 failed password attempts.

At ANY national border, not just the US border, one has no rights at all. International law is pretty clear about that. And in any country customs do not need probable cause to search anything at any national border. It might be news to some, but it ought not be a surprise.

You are the problem. How dare you suggest people need to think twice before posting online in order to avoid being hassled by the government. We have First Amendment rights. If you think like that just move to Russia because you see a traitor to our country and the Constitution.

Within 100 miles of any border, you don't have any rights. The more you know.
