He's retaking. If he bumps it up by only 40 points he's 75th percentile. Seems like just the right demographic for Bucknell.

Can't imagine the mindset of someone who describes their kid as "normie". Just embarrassing.

LACs seem to either be super selective or hardly selective at all and there doesn’t seem to be a lot in the middle. What am I missing? Looking for real mid tier not DCUM mid tier.

I'll bet he can get his SAT into the 1450+ range if he works on it.

University of Denver as a safety.

Rhodes, Trinity in SA, Dickinson. All with possible merit.

Tulane ED or EA (EA might be a reach if SAT doesn't go above 1400) if he wants something larger to consider.

My DS had similar stats from a very rigorous HS and applied to 5 of these and got into all 5. Substantial merit aid at 3 of them (one of which he will be attending).

Good list!

OP here. Growing up I was quirky, artsy, crunchy, and politically opinionated. My son is none of those. Just a normal mainstream kid with typical interests such as sports and fitness. Life will be easier for him. I don’t get what I’m supposed to be embarrassed about, I’m happy for him.

You admit your kid is boring, ordinary, mainstream, conventional, and not a critical thinker.

You should be embarrassed that you have failed as a parent.

Are you joking?
This world already has far too many people who take themselves and their opinions very seriously and think they are hot stuff. Sorry not sorry if I did not produce another one.

Besides, you list mainstream and conventional as if those qualities preclude critical thought. That is not the case.

agree. Plus mainstream and conventional doesn't mean a person is boring either.
