Praying for a RIF. One year of salary and then moving back to the High Point-Winston-Salem-Greensboro area. I went to Wake and have lots of friends (and some family I’m iffy on) in the area.

I mean, it feels like California in the mountains.

Seriously? How do you explain Lauren Boebert?

? CA also has red districts, several.

So does New York and so does Maryland. No large states are uniformly democrat or republican.

Yeah… planning on finally making the move to California if my husband and I get RIFed… but have other sources of income (inheritance).

Making purple states bluer by the day. Think NC and GA.

El Salvador?

Being swept up by Trump’s gestapo for speaking out against him gets more and more likely by the day

This is what I am trying to avoid, but I will keep speaking until it is not safe for my family

You must be an illegal alien. Door is to the south.

Depends where in the given states. I live in a not very affordable area in CA but it’s obviously a huge state. My DH is from a suburb near Albany NY. Housing is cheap compared to DC and schools are some of the best in the country, but I’m not sure I’d want to live there year round.

Good try. I have family that goes back to just a couple years after the mayflower who founded a town in New England.

If you think this regime isn’t headed towards jailing and removing those who oppose them, you aren’t paying attention

Not with any female of child bearing age in our house

Btw, another woman in GA just died after being denied a D&C to complete a miscarriage. She wasn’t actively trying to end a viable pregnancy - the pregnancy was ending itself. She was denied healthcare to save her life. She went septic, fell into a coma for months, and passed in the last day or so.
