| 52 M, I've had a 33 inch waist for 25 years. |
| Which part of the waist are we measuring? The narrowest? At the belly button? That weird blob of fat under my belly button? They easch have a different story to tell. |
| I buy 32 pants but I’m high waisted so pants sit on my hips. So I guess I don’t really know. |
|
44, 2 kids, buy pants with a 25 inch waist.

| 50 female size 2-4 in pants and jeans. |
You do a few inches above your belly button I am 38f and 27” Weird thread though |

50, f, 29”
Looking at waist / hip ratio would be more telling of body shape. The ratio can also often seen as a useful indicator of body fat distribution, and > 1 is sometimes used as a basis for determining certain health risks. Why interested in this, OP? Or are you just comparing yourself without any other metrics? |

45 yo, 3 kids, 26 inch waist.
In jeans/pants, I wear a 24 or 25. Not sure why... I'm not curvy or voluptuous, so I feel like an inch or two off my waist would make me look better in clothes. |
| 42 woman, 28 pants but literally like 26.5 probably. |
| 41f - 27” waist - 3 kids |
Agreed, average waist for women is nearly 39 inches and we’re on page 2 and no one has come very close. |
This doesn’t sound believable. 39 is a very large waist for a woman. |
Well here is the CDC on that issue. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/body-measurements.htm |
Well DUH. Everyone knows that. It's like the Post Your Net Worth threads. The wealthy are eager to respond, and sometimes a few people on the other end respond as well, to make a point. It doesn't make the thread less fun!
