If you don't have anything intelligent to add just be quiet. Some of us are greatly concerned about our personal information being compromised. |
| So horrifying. |
| I would take DOGE over Kamala any day of the week! |
Yeah, sweetie. We know. Nobody is quite sure how to help you with that, either. Standard self-harm protocols don't really seem to help. Good luck with your facial reconstruction. Maybe the leopards will only take a small bite? |
Sounds more like a martyr than hero. |
This is part of the problem. If it's not clickbait, we don't click. If there's no synopsis, our x-shortened attention spans can't process it. I get your point, but I think there are some necessary and valid truths that also need to be considered. Our lack of ability to stay informed and engaged if it's not flashy/sexy/easy is a huge part of why we're in this mess. |
Liberals are always accused of not having a sense of humor. Don’t confirm it. |
| These DOGE guys need to be jailed. |
| X was hacked. What makes anyone think X employees at DOGE know how to protect data? |
NP. This was my first thought. Also, going to a middle man to try to sneak into ob-boarding with the route of least resistance — and not referring to themselves as SSA CIO staff but DOGE staff. Can a federal employee work for more than one agency at a time? I read her entire statement, and it felt like I was reading about how SSA fell victim to a hostile takeover. Every single American’s SSN is compromised. This is terrifying and worse than the OPM breach, or the Sony breach - which has taken years to unravel. |
Elon musk is on record saying his time with DOGE isn’t worthwhile unless he gets access to US Treasury payment systems. Presumably he can monetize all of our personal data for his interests in creating a Twitter payments platform and open AI stuff |
Yes. Musk has already fed all of our sensitive information from 21 agencies into his AI model, it seems. This is what House Speaker Johnson said: “We meet late into the night in his office, and we’ve looked at that. What he’s finding with his algorithms crawling through the data of Social Security system is enormous amounts of fraud, waste and abuse," Johnson told NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday. Who is overseeing what the DOGErs are doing? None of our lawmakers could even follow it if they explained. Because of Trump/Vance/Musk, many of the smart tech folks either resigned (like the 21 USDS experts, many of whom had been recruited from the private sector) or were fired (like the 18F crew). https://www.npr.org/2025/02/25/nx-s1-5308095/doge-staff-resignations-elon-musk https://18f.org/ DOGE moved fast so they'd illegally get all our info - classified personnel records, names/addresses/bank accounts/Social Sec info, everything - before they were stopped. It seems like the entire banking system and our entire govt is at risk. |
It did. That's exactly what her statement is trying to inform us about. Forces without proper clearance, without showing proper knowledge of how to manage the systems, got access that is not being handled securely, putting literally everyone with an SSN at risk. Pass it on! |
It seems that way because it is that way. This is proof. |
Yes, that's the game plan. Move fast, break shit, "muzzle velocity" so they can hopefully overwhelm any checks/balances that might be able to intervene. They'll lose a bit to judicial interference, but they'll get stuff like this done while nobody's watching. Notice how there's very little media attention on this, yet it impacts every citizen with a SSN? This is deliberate. This is what DOGE was made to do. |
