Im not OP, but it’s truly worth your time to read her 13 page affidavit. Basically she tried for as long as she could to make the doge-bros follow actual procedures and privacy protections. Now all of your data is on the hands of literally who-only-knows.

We have had the same bank account for almost 20 years. Last week for the first time ever, someone tried to access it. I do wonder if it has to do with these DOGE idiots.

Pages 5-13 are where it gets interesting. On p 11, she talks about her concerns that Social Security data is not being protected and could be inadvertently transferred to bad actors, especially because the DOGE software engineer was working off site in a nonprotected environment. Basically, DOGE rushed in and demanded access to ALL Social Security data - including personal info on individual Americans' benefits, bank account numbers and work history without explaining why- in violation of security protocols and federal laws. And after some resistance, they got it.

Could this thread be renamed? Because this is a important issue and I'm not sure that the name of the hero is familiar to most people. I would like to read more discussion about this and what kind of risks we are all facing because of this incursion.

I just saw an interview with Martin O’Malley who was the Social Security administrator in the Biden Admin. What he laid out as the consequences of what Elon has done is terrifying. He thinks the end game is to break SS so that Trump can say “see, it doesn’t work so we will have to privatize it.” This will, of course, enrich the finance world. They have already brought in private equity guys who know how to dismantle companies and sell them for parts.

What we need is for Anonymous to hack the data that Elon has made insecure and do something very public, yet benign, to show everyone how Elon has put all of our info in jeopardy.
