Corruption. Conflict of interest. The money trail.

Once the coffers are fully raided, we will all wish we had hobbies. What a luxury it was to have a hobby, yet America needed to be “great again.” It’s funny that MAGA became a slogan because by the time it’s all said and done, our kids will be like “tell when was America great again?”

Every generation faces the same dilemmas. Spoiler alert, this is just the human existence. Everything occurring today will at most be some inconsequential chapter in a textbook your grandchildren will read over with their eyes glazed over. This too shall pass...

Only if we make it pass.

If we don't then what difference does it make?

Then the bad guys will have won. What's to keep the rest of us in line if the bad guys can win?

Don’t forget he receives a fee for every instance of fraud he finds. Funny though we don’t know what he is using to define fraud. Fraud is a criminal act, collecting social security for a dead person would be fraud. Identifying programs that were approved and funded by the government, that do not align with your mission, are not fraud. Claiming overtime when you haven’t done it is fraud, being offered a job and showing up and fulfilling your job description duties is not.

You are messing up this thread.

In the long run we are all dead. And nothing matters. Removing influence of bad actors and keeping good helps evolution/next generation. Now can we keep on the topic please.

This is one big grift from a frustrated, insecure guy who knows he is a fraud. He has got rich by milking the people and is looking to continue doing so as evidenced by his actions. (now there are two guys who are similar).

what can we do as american patriots to stop this nonsense. for our kids sake.

This!

Where’s the actually evidence? I’m not seeing valid reports documenting what the heck they’re finding like SS benefits paid to 30,000 dead people over the past year. No data. And ok, so he finds a couple million here and there claiming the previous (Democratic) administration “wasted” that’s money on DEI initiatives. So what now? When the Republicans want to subsidize programs they favor or worse, help out their billionaire buddies, that won’t be designated waste?

And just wait until millions are spent “combating Christian persecution” or promoting Christian nationalist culture programs. Or funding bizarre private Bible schools for small fundamentalist sects. Of course, DOGE will look the other way then. Waste? What waste!? We took care of all that waste.

The DOGE operatives at HUD work for real estate firms - I'm sure that's not a conflict of interest at all.

I do not dispute that the federal government - like any other business - can be optimized. But it seems to be a transfer of money here rather than generating efficiency. Please correct me with some facts if I am wrong. And don't argue that the other party did it and so we are doing it too.

Now you can understand why Musk wants to fire regulators at NHTSA! They didn't want customers to be guinea pigs to sort out software issues. Musk doesn't care. They are collateral damage for "progress". And if regulators are in the way, they are evil government employees who get fired. I think even the MAGA folks didn't plan for this!

From article in USA today:
"There have been so many incidents involving Tesla’s Autopilot and FSD that we had to build a megathread to keep track of them all. It's worth noting that Tesla claims FSD is still in "beta," so it's incomplete, but it also sells the feature as a five-figure option on its current lineup of EVs, allowing owners to opt into being, essentially, real-world test dummies for the system. They must acknowledge that the system requires driver oversight and is not, as its name implies, a fully self-driving system today. Still, Tesla is essentially offloading the kind of testing other automakers conduct scientifically, with engineers and oversight, to customers in the real world. And AMCI’s findings on how reliable FSD is — or rather, is not — are just the latest road bump for Tesla and FSD."
