No idea. Latest text says the school will ensure that students receive lunch (because lockdown went into effect a little past 11, and lunch period starts at 11:30). They don't want parents coming to the school. Duh. Why would anyone show up if police haven't apprehended a suspect in the area?

Does the school have open lunch? So that's why they won't release for lunch

BCC usually has open lunch. PTA on the school listserve begs parents not to rush to school.

The CVS is right behind the school and is the approximate location of where Bcc students last year car jacked a woman before returning to the school. Hope the shooter in this instance isn't a student.

There is a small park right there, a lot of times students skipping class will hang out there.
