Recommend your dishwasher

I have the GE Cafe and I don’t recommend. It’s only 2 years old and having electrical issues within panel.

We have this dishwasher as well. I love the 3rd rack feature. Agree with the poster above…this dishwasher is so quiet!

I think my Bosch 800 series was a little over $1K with installation but that was about 10 years ago and it's still the best purchase we've made for our home. Life changing. Quiet, does a great job and the only time I've had issues is when DH manages to put dishes with pistachio shells in the dishwasher and one get stuck in the drain--I've had to deal with that a couple of times.

Miele dual drawer is wonderful.

I love my Miele but I don’t think they make a dual drawer? I thought that was only fisher and paykal

Two different experienced appliance repair guys have told me to always opt for the front controls. One reason dishwashers aren’t lasting as long as they used to is that the controls are inside getting boiled by the dishwasher.

OP here. Yeah, I'm looking for personal recommendations, not paid "reviews". If I wanted that info, I could have googled it myself.

OP here - so basically I'm struggling between the Costco version of this dishwasher (405) and the Bosch 800 series. We had a repairman here for our clothing washer and he said he didn't recommend the Bosch because he has to pull the whole thing out to repair it and it's much more costly for the homeowner. He recommended anything made by Whirlpool (including Kitchenaid). Then I looked on Reddit and everyone HATES their Kitchenaid/Whirlpool and loves their Bosch. I am so torn!!

They’re mostly fine and you’ll probably hate something specific about whichever one you get. And if you get a lemon, that’s just bad luck.

My Bosch 800 really does smell though. It’s like slightly burning plastic, or something. Ozone, I don’t know. It doesn’t bother me much but I can see how some people could really hate it.

Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool are the same manufacturer FYI.

Our Bosch 800 replaced an older Bosch. It’s been four years now and we like it a lot. The 3rd rack for cutlery is useful. It is super quiet and it dries just fine for us. We use jet dry and the Finish pods. We do get some wet plastic lids though. We have not experienced any smells like others have.

Hate my Bosch. Got it because my mom
Loves her (an older one). I am constantly getting error code bc debris gets trapped so easily.

Yes, that's literally what I said "anything made by Whirlpool (including Kitchenaid)"

Me too and can't be repaired. I bought a Bosch. I love it!
