Yes - probastionary employees have rights and cannot just "be fired". They can appeal to the MSPB.

Well, when they find out that a lot of stuff is just plain broken in a few months, a crony of this administration will win the contract to privately bring back these services under a lucrative government contract $$$

Thank you. I have a dear friend who is a probationary employee there. I want to be in the know so I can support her but want to avoid the "so are you fired?" texts and calls if I can
