How are they ever going to recruit people after this? |
This thread is actively tracking all probationary firings: https://www.reddit.com/r/fednews/comments/1ioaee5/comment/mci0ye3/ |
Yes - probastionary employees have rights and cannot just "be fired". They can appeal to the MSPB. |
Do we have numbers yet? |
If you just got out of jail and you’re on probation, you shouldn’t be working for the government in the first place. -EM. |
Do probationaries get any kind of severance? |
Not if they were fired. Severance is for RIF. |
Any news on firings at independent agencies such as SEC, which butted heads with Musk at times? And what about Dept of Justice people not involved in Trump cases?
|
Pretty sure they do. It's an involuntary separation |
Probie at DOJ, not fired yet |
Anything about NIH? |
They’re not. That’s the point. |
Well, when they find out that a lot of stuff is just plain broken in a few months, a crony of this administration will win the contract to privately bring back these services under a lucrative government contract $$$ |
Haven’t heard anything yet. |
Thank you. I have a dear friend who is a probationary employee there. I want to be in the know so I can support her but want to avoid the "so are you fired?" texts and calls if I can |
