Getting very defensive when you could just tell us the name You're clearly targeting Hispanics. The Asian supermarkets we shop at were full, as usual.
OP, please understand that DCUM has been drowning in wailing and gnashing of teeth since the Inauguration, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. It's getting overwhelming, even for the most ardent Trump and Musk loather, so if you want to add anything ACTUALLY HELPFUL to the clamor, you'd better make it factual. If you don't, and start getting annoyed at those who press you for facts... ... you're just a troll. |
| No customers at Home Depot and Lowe's |
No is defensive. No one is annoyed. You all keep on saying that when you don't get the response you want but that is not how communication works. When someone says you are lying and the responding with well actually I am not is not defensive. I am not bothered because I am telling the truth. I don't see why it benefits Trump/Musk supporters to say that some are acting in fear in response to what they are doing--I think the opposite. Also, naming the mall would actually make the supports proud, so I am not doing do. |
Sorry meant to say "not doing that" |
| It's February (a slow time of year for retail shopping) and we actually had a relatively warm week (so people weren't looking to spend time in indoor malls). |
I’m there all the time. Busy as hell. |
| I have been to Target in Columbia Heights 2x after Jan 20 and it has been empty both times. I am not sure if it has to do with immigration or general concerns about our economy. |
| Racist pigs. |
What does race have to do with any of this? |
| You really think the illegal immigrants are choosing to go to their jobs (where most of the works are illegal), but are avoiding shopping malls? OK sure. |
| This time of the year everything is slow. People are paying for what they spent on Christmas and preparing taxes. The cold weather stops them from going out. I haven't been to a mall but I've seen it busy at grocery stores, drug stores, coffee shops, gas stations, and airports. |
| I saw plenty of day laborers hanging around outside Home Depot earlier this week just like usual. Which I was thankful for, because I sometimes hire them. I find them , on the whole, to be hard and efficient workers and I like helping them out. Also nice to just pay in cash. |
Sure you did. |
It doesn't matter what you think, what your snappy comebacks are. We can't wish the truth way or make it cleverly go away with retorts on the internet. So your "sure you did" doesn't manifest action or change or transform reality. So pretend what I said in the OP post is not true. I can't control your mind. |
The malls are packed. You are the one trying to pretend to further your stupid narrative, but it doesn't reflect reality. Everyone that has been to the local malls knows this. |
