There are already laws to address religious discrimination. As a Christian I believe non-Christian religions should also be protected by existing laws.

My gut feeling is this will backfire in the future using unconstitutional methods to ferret out bias.

If I were an atheist I would concerned. It is automatically assumed every atheist is biased against Christians (or Muslims, Jews, Buddhists…) so we might be seeing some sort of Inquisition coming up. Get ready for the dreaded Comfy Chair, my unbelieving fellow Americans.

As a Christian, I could have written the same thing. I've been observing victim mentality amongst some Christians for a while now. "They'll be persecuting us soon for being Christians." So much fear mongering
People saying "Happy Holidays" is a far cry from persecution but some comfortable American Christians wouldn't understand that.

Actually I’m an atheist but it’s pretty obvious (at least to any nonChristian who’s been living in America for the last 30 years) that there’s a strain of Christians that really wants to feel they are being persecuted and goes around looking for any excuse to claim persecution when it’s obvious they are the dominant religious force in American culture.
