Trump calls for “anti-Christian bias” task force

Anonymous
Unfortunately, there is an odd combination of religion and politics in the new Trump administration. Reuters reports that “U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he would create a White House faith office and direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead a task force on eradicating what he called anti-Christian bias within the federal government.” https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-says-h...ian-bias-2025-02-06/

Does this belong in the religion forum or the politics forum or both? Or neither? It’s hard to tell, these days.

Where do you usually file your hate speech towards the President and White Christians in the filing cabinet?

As a Christian I do not want the Federal govt trying to “help” me. Bias exists and my britches are big enough for me to handle bias on my own.

Most people I know don’t care diddley-squat about what I believe or don’t believe.

There are already laws to address religious discrimination. As a Christian I believe non-Christian religions should also be protected by existing laws.

My gut feeling is this will backfire in the future using unconstitutional methods to ferret out bias.

I hope you're right.

Anti-Christian bias is laughable. We're in peak backlash. I agree that's it's hard to know where to post this - religion or politics.

Nothing worse than Christians looking to feel persecuted. You haven’t been the vulnerable minority for 1700 years, give it up already.

Based on the actual language in the EO it seems like a cover to go after the LGBTQ and abortion.

WTF is your problem?!?!?!? According to the FBI, Jews are 2.4% of the population but 60% of the crimes. Have you ever been to a synagogue? It's easier to get on a plane. Whether trolling or serious, your post is not appreciated.

Please explain how wanting to uphold the separation between Church and State is hatred towards White Christians?

You'd be fine with this if he was creating a commission to investigate hatred against Muslims?

You guys are such transparent hypocrites and liars.
