Even if they were right next to each other, that wouldn't explain a gap between the number of drawings and waitlisted numbers - unless the drawing counts them as one unit and the waitlisted numbers count them as two. But that seems incredibly difficult to manage.

Yep, absolutely the correct draw, without question. The screen showed X number of waitlisted students and the host scrolled all the way to the bottom, showing no additional waitlisted students and no additional pages of results. And our waitlisted number is X+4

Agreed. ATS isn’t as good as private school (they still have big class sizes, they still use APS’s “meh” curriculum), but it’s better than many of the neighborhood schools.

That said, if you’re in one of the affluent NA schools, ATS may be a downgrade.

This and the people I know who have kids there who aren’t poor have a hard time making class friends.

I believe that is what happens. If one twin gets in via the lottery, they both get in.

It’s them. Not the school. My children both had groups of close friends.

You can’t be serious in thinking this? We got a spot by chance and now we have two weeks to decide and want more details on where I will send my kid to school - how in any way is that bragging?

Decent. Some people enter all the lotteries and then drop the ones they don’t really want. Plus there will be movement with the federal job situation and RTO
