It’s been a year I was creeping back up to 130 and go a one month supply and have been doing one week every 3 months. That way there are no physical symptoms. I’m on the absolute lowest dose too.

Wow! This is my situation, too. Tried to lose 15 lbs for years and just could not do it. Also went to a medspa for compounded Mounjaro/Zepbound and it has been what I needed. Down 10 lbs in one month. I'm so excited, and I'm also really encouraged by your story of maintaining your weight loss, by and large, after going off the meds. I feel it's resetting my eating habits, too. Whoever invented this drug is a damn genius.

Side effects and future effects be damned.

I've had almost no side effect - very mild nausea the first few days and nothing since. On the lowest dose. The drug is a miracle. And the impact it's having on people's health is incredible. Even for someone like me, starting at a normal BMI with no health issues - my diet is so much improved. No more processed foods (just don't want them - never would have believed it before experiencing it), lots more fruits and veggies, lean proteins. Sleeping better than ever, too. I used to need Unisom a few days a week to get to sleep.

It's hard to take seriously anyone who thinks losing 10 pounds in 1 month is healthy.

PP who lost the 10 lbs. Yes, there is talk about "Ozempic face" and also "Ozempic butt." The spa did talk to me about this and recommended exercise especially strength training. I already hit the gym 5 days/week and haven't noticed any loose skin...but I *have* noticed a much flatter belly!

It's an average of 2.5 lbs/week. Hardly extreme.

Unless you were 200+ pounds before, it’s extreme.

It takes a lot more than ten lbs to create loose skin!
I agree that’s too fast to lose but skin shouldn’t be an issue.

Who prescribes it and what do you pay?

I use an online weight loss clinic. It was $300 total for appointment and 2 months worth (one vial, taking lowest strength, not even the dose that’s considered viable for results)

And ignore the people who say ozempic butt and face. Yours not going to see that from 15-20lbs. Maybe 3x that. I wear a M bottoms of swim because I have always had a big butt. I noticed the most weight loss on my stomach and arms and thighs which I worked my a** off and could never get slim upper arms and a flat stomach, same situation, always carried a slightly donut on my stomach. Thighs finally don’t touch for first time in years. People notice I look thinner but I definitely don’t look too thin. I look healthy and normal. I think my body wanted that weight off and that’s why I’ve been able to maintain.

And I also go to a nutrition clinic that does the scale and tells you your muscle mass. I didn’t lose any muscle mass! I had great numbers before and after.

I have easily lost 10+ pounds since Nov 2024. I have been eating a lot of food. No issues with loose skin. I am in my late 50s.

It is a combo of plant based whole foods (no limits), IF which results in two full meals a day and many snacks, insane amounts of raw and cooked veggies, two glasses of green juice (spinach, beets, carrots, tomatoes, gooseberry, ginger, coriander, mint) with my meals and fruits.

Lots of hydration (drinking homemade tomato soup instead of tea), lots of sleep. A fistful of nuts and raisins every day.

Going forward - I am going to be incorporating more seeds in my snack or meals. So, I am going to start adding more desserts (nut and dry fruit bars ) to my meals made entirely of ground up - pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, sunflower seeds, roasted flaxseed, black and white sesame, cashew, almonds, dates, figs, raisins and cranberries.

I also take a B-12 supplement.

Wanted to add...I do take whole grain carbs. No packaged food. No junk. No sugar. I cook and prepare all meals myself.

My husband would flip if I did this though. How do you convince those you pay bills with that this is important?

If you only need to lose 10 lbs, please jump in and share tips.

Put the fork down.

OP - Do you already lift progressively heavier weights?
If so upping your protein to 90-115 grams/day should yield a leaner body. Muscle and fat weigh the same but muscle is more compact. If you don't do strength today, you'll find that weight isn't really all that good as indicator of how you look.

Former skinny fat.

You can easily get Tirz online for 200-300/month and stretch it out and from good pharmacies too

how do you stretch it out? Isn't it an injection?
