There is a reason he did it at 11 at night, he didn’t want people to see this one

This is blatantly illegal. It is designed to reduce oversight.

It may be technically illegal, but according to the article he did the same thing during his first term. I don’t believe anything happened then in response so it’s unlikely anything will happen now.

“
Trump ousted five watchdogs in quick succession during his first term in 2020, starting with Michael Atkinson, the intelligence community inspector general who alerted Congress to the whistleblower complaint that led to Trump’s first impeachment. Trump had appointed Atkinson. The president also removed the State Department’s chief watchdog, who had begun investigating alleged misconduct by then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.”

And now he doesn't care for Pompeo. He does not care about anyone but him

He also wanted to wait until after the Hegseth vote. Certain senators (Grassley, for example) are strong supporters of IGs and might have voted against Hegseth had Trump fired them earlier.

I’m assuming there is just cause and a new one will be hired. So what the problem?

Obv he didn’t like their performance and considering the poor job the last administration did and the state things have been left in, seems reasonable to replace some staff. People voted for him bc they want change
