Shared risk. Unspent money goes back to company at end of year but you can spend it all on day 1. .

So you can spend it all even though you barely contributed?

Yes, for medical FSA. Not so for dependent care.

They were planning to spend on average $250/month, which isn't that much if you have medical issues, but now they have to spend all of it at once due to the layoff.

Sunscreen products, acne products. anything on the Supergoop site, type FSA eligible into Amazon and you can go to their store, fsastore.com, there are tools that you can buy (tens machine, led face masks, genetic testing kits)

Amazon also has an FSA Store

Less extreme than that but I had to use up like $500 when leaving my job and I bought a ton of stuff from Amazon per the link above - FSA-eligible is labeled. A lot is supplies I am using over a long timeframe. Some stuff I also donated (feminine products, contact solution etc - much is in need and if you can't find preferred brands etc on Amazon you can find another home for it)

Same here, but I only have $1,800. I’ve already bought prescription glasses, gone to the dentist and refilled prescriptions.

Next I’ll be on to a huge OTC meds shop.

It’s a bizarre system.
