| FSU vs UTK/Clemson |
Are you saying it's similar to those two, Tennessee and Clemson? |
I think this poster is, but both are ranked significantly lower than FSU, Tennessee especially. |
| What about UCF? |
| It’s in Florida. Enough said. |
|
Compared to the VA schools:
UVA = UF? FSU = VT? Is that an ok comparison? |
UVM is ranked similar to UCF, 120ish. FSU is 54th. |
that's what I was thinking, and that seems to somewhat correlate w/ the USNWR ranking as well. UVA = #24 UF = #30 VT=#51 FSU=#54 |
DP, had a brain fart about UVM above but yes, that’s a good comparison I think! |
Decent overall comparisons, but don’t forget to compare specific departments and majors as well. |
| Go Gators! 🐊 |
when you learn to spell you can start using google. UF is ranked only 30 of USNWR universities |
That was my question. So fsu is better than those both? Interesting as so many more from here applied to Clemson and TN, but not FSU |
Much better! It’s also a gorgeous campus and Tallahassee a nice little city. I think people just don’t think about it and focus on UF and University of Miami. |
| I'm from Tallahassee and I have a very low opinion of FSU. UF is a much better school, and if you had to go anywhere in the state, it's there. FSU's acceptance rate is deceptive, it's one of two legit public universities in the state, and it's a huge state with a lot of kids applying. The other public universities (UCF, UNF, USF) are regional at best, essentially commuter schools or just about. In any case, FSU is a football school full of mediocre students. It has a few decent departments and of course there are bright kids who end up there for whatever reason. It's fine if you want to get a job in Jacksonville after graduating. I'm sure the frat parties are exciting. I wouldn't let my kid anywhere near it. I'd let go to Bama before I did. |
