Sounds like a Private High School thread.

It’s about college acceptances so it fits better here

There are multiple threads along these lines every year in the private school forum. Already this year, too.

How could anyone rank these schools yet. Anything someone posts is speculative. Many many college decisions are still pending.

HAHAHA. You are posting Oakton when we are talking about schools that send a third to elite schools.

Agree. Take your toxic energy back under your own rock.

Good looking???!! WTF? Is this how you categorize and observe high school kids? So shallow and creepy on so many levels.

If
100%. I was thinking that had to be a troll post because who thinks that way…but even if a troll it’s still just yuck. Pervy.

I'm not the poster you're talking about (and not a Sidwell parent) but you need to really chill out and not take everything so seriously. It's not pervy to call a class of kids good looking. Clearly the poster is just an over-the-top Sidwell backer or a troll making fun of this whole post. Either way she was just throwing out every superlative she could about this grade of kids.

Hi perv, struck a nerve.

The whole discussion is goofy regardless of where it's posted.

It's only a portion of the graduates. They didn't have to spend $200k to accomplish either.

It helps that many Sidwell (and other private school) parents have the means to provide an environment that produces kids who have the “complete package”. Money for travel sports, Money for braces, Money for all kinds of tutors and consultants. I’m not coming from a position of sour grapes (I’m a private school parent). That’s just the truth.

Braces?! WTF. This board has jumped the shark

I know this because both of my DC applied to Sidwell but were unfairly rejected - we went on a 30 minute tour of the campus and got to know the school very well. While many mothers, fathers, and guardians commenting on this forum argue otherwise, they appear to be following the herd running aimlessly towards a treacherous cliff. Bravo to you and your budding children - I wish them great success.

so your 30 minutes of exposure gave you more insight into the school than years of being a parent or alum?

DCUM search capability is crap and I don’t feel like scrolling that far back but yes, these threads are posted multiple times in the private school forum every year.

You know that Maret and GDS are superior schools because of your 30 minute tour of Sidwell as a godparent to two kids that were rejected from Sidwell?

I think the poster was trying to be funny.
