Makes sense. You get to be C suite from relationships, not grinding away at work products.

Non investment role @ PE firm. I work from 9-5:30pm in office but rarely work nights / weeks and the work is not difficult. ~ 280k cash comp with some RSU.

$300k total comp. Strategy at a tech company. The job is flexible in that it is remote. The hours are a mixed bag: 40 to 80 hours a week. I do not work on weekends.

Same here. But reasonable hours fluctuate quite a lot. Very recently, I was working 65-70 hours a week on multiple high stress projects.

Systems Engineer. My work schedule is flexible, but I definitely work 40+ hours per week. I have to make my deadlines no matter what.

Inhouse counsel, tech company. Fully remote, work less than 40 hours a week. Base pay $250 but stock and bonuses make the total comp over $600

Wow! I worked in the same field for 20 years and never pulled those hours and never worked a weekend.

Around $250k, about 40 hours, 98% flexible, so I pick up my children from school every day, have dinner with my family every day, walk for 2 hours every day (except when it's super cold). Self-employed attorney

My DH - about 320k - in-house counsel. 100% remote - probably works 25-30hrs/wk. tons of flexibility. He’s the main caretaker bec my job lacks the flexibility he has. He does all dr appts, sport drop-offs, etc.

In house counsel - it’s the best after over 25 years with a boutique firm. Should have done it sooner!
