Do you carry a handbag AND a work bag every day

Everyone I know who brings their laptop to and from work every day are actually the most disorganized people I know, have a bottomless bit work purse and they admit they never actually use the zillions of things in said bag on a daily basis (including the laptop) - they just have best intentions. I rarely see men carrying laptops to and from work.

Do you work at Luddite Central?

I also carry a smaller bag with my phone, wallet etc - my latest is a YSL puffer

I'm a PP and my work bag is a Neverfull too. Agree it's super practical.

This, but my smallish zip pouch has a removable crossbody strap. So if I go out to lunch or want to run an errand over lunch or on my way home, I can just carry the zip pouch and not the entire tote.

Now that I have to bring my laptop back and forth, I just use one giant bag that can hold everything.

I carry both. I’m hybrid so I don’t want to go to the effort to streamline for the days I’m in office. I just carry both and deal with it.

Same. Sometimes I have four bags: work laptop bag, personal tote bag, purse/crossbody bag, and lunch. SO MUCH STUFF.

Yes. I have a very low profile work bag that only has enough space for a laptop and a couple of files. I carry that and a large handbag.

I carry both. But I finally got a small enough bag that I can put it into the tote. I rarely remember to do that though.

Have you worked at all in the last 10 years? This is an extremely outdated take.

+1 on the neverfull it is a dank and they are what use most days as a purse and just slide my laptop in.

I have a small purse and put that in my work bag. After several tries of nicer work bags, I realized all the execs were using the work supplied backpack (laptop carrier). I figured of it works for them, it should work for me. I started using that - which works well, especially on days I have a long walk to the metro.

Absolutely everyone takes their laptops to and from work; this take is bonkers. No, you can't use your personal iPad for work.

I throw my purse-stuff in my bigger work tote (wallet, keys, etc.) and then I have a pouch in my work tote with some duplicate handbag/purse items (tampons, band aids, lip balm, hand cream, nail file, etc.). This makes it so the only things I have to switch back and forth are my wallet, keys, and phone. Sometimes I do take an extra tote for a change of shoes, extra coat/sweater, big water bottle, etc.

Uh, I generally don’t take my laptop back and forth (and use my home desktop when working from home). Different people are different! But agree with throwing everything into a work bag, even when I am carrying a laptop.

I keep my keys etc in something like this https://www.hobobags.com/products/darcy-crossbody-in-polished-leather-natural

which I can also throw into my laptop bag.
