Another nonsensical response. Go to the cheapest source you can and make sure the diamond has a certificate. Not all shapes have a determination of the quality of the cut. |
And mined diamonds don't have a margin? Wow. You are deluded. |
| OP here. Thank you everyone! DW has a mined diamond and I thought a lab diamond might be a good additional piece. |
Huh? Certificates don't tell the whole story. Sure you can buy the cheapest rock, but it's not going to sparkle and be actually beautiful if it isn't cut well. Most shapes don't have a certificate for cut, that's why you rely on the cutter. Unless you're sending the cheapie rock to be recut, in which case you'll lose some carat weight. Personally, I don't want the cheapest largest diamond that looks like a dud. If I'm wearing a diamond, it better be sparkling from across the room! |

Ignorance ^^ |
| OP — go to the Rocky Talky forum on Pricescope. Much better info there. People here don’t know what they are talking about. |
Diamonds are a very common gemstone. There is no scarcity. |
| Matt Gabel fr Gabel Jewelers in NYC made me a custom lab ring for a fantastic price. I worked with him virtually and have worn my ring daily since getting it 2 years ago- still looks great |
Diamonds don’t hold value either. |
Just to make sure you can get a totally unethical lab diamond too. Do not send de Beers money. |
De Beers has stop making diamonds for jewelry. |
De Beers has more blood on their hands historically than virtually any privately held company. Sending them money for anything is morally garbage. |
